In an attempt to reach out beyond the herp world I posted a thread at a survivalist board that I visit. Don't let the survivalist stereotype fool you, these folks are patriotic believers in the constitution and are very well educated on politics, economics, and pretty much everything inbetween. The response has been good but of course there are always a couple that don't get it.

Not only are we fighting for our right to keep herps, but really if this passes it sets a very bad precedent for individual rights. There are more rights that we will have to fight for ahead, with 2nd Amendment battle on the horizon.
