I've had some barely get past 300 grams and others hit 1000 easy. Generally they all get fed the same -- some are more picky than others some just seem to grow so fast you can see it while others you keep having fecals done cause they don't put on any weight. Go figure. constrictorkeeper 10-25-2008, 07:56 PM Thats kind of a loaded question -- I have a female that hit 1400 grams by her first birthday feeding on 1 small rat a week -- her brother fed the same thing only got to 600 grams. Go figure. you really got that much difference in growth with the same diet ? ! and with sibs ! wierd. ck JChandler 10-25-2008, 08:06 PM I have one dob 10-21-07 and on 10-20-08 weighed in at 1620, sister from the same clutch was outweighing her until she hit a wall at 800 grams and now she is 1150. But I have a 4 year old that is 900 grams to compare it to. :machinegun: All are offered food once a week, offered being the keyword... constrictorkeeper 10-25-2008, 08:35 PM I have one dob 10-21-07 and on 10-20-08 weighed in at 1620, sister from the same clutch was outweighing her until she hit a wall at 800 grams and now she is 1150. If I can hit 1000-1200grams in a year for the females I'm happy..The males that I'm trying to get up to size, I'll grow super quick but I'll also tapper them off really fast as well. Cornball 10-26-2008, 11:48 AM I agree with Larry. It just depends on the animal. I have some that eat at every offering. Then there are others that like mice and do not always eat. 147BOAS 10-26-2008, 02:17 PM i feed once a week and let nature do its thing no set goal if it take a little longer to get up there than so be it |
