I do keep a small group of tree frogs just for kicks.
I have three dumpy (Whites) tree frogs. Love these guys.
Three red eye tree frogs. Really need looking when they show their colors which they very rarely do. When in a calm state they look like green tree frogs.
And a couple of barking tree frogs which I always liked. They have a neat call.
In the past Ive had a few others. I've had horn frogs which are cool but after a while they get a little boring. I had one for 7 years. Dont think he moved once except to eat. Ive had axolotls(sps?) a weird creature which I rarely see any more. And a bunch of other frogs like chubby frogs and different tree frogs.

I have not attempted to breed any of the frogs.
I did a little reading on dumpy breeding. From what I gathered you need a large aquarium and you need to make it rain. So you would have to set up some sort of misting system. Then they lay about 1 million eggs which hatch into 1 million tiny little tadpoles. Then you gotta feed these guys and they slowly turn into frogs. Now comes the fun part. Finding a S-load of tiny food to feed all those hungry little mouths. Yikes
Of course, the article suggested that unless you're a commercial breeder or a lunatic you should probably cull most of the tadpoles and just keep a reasonable number. Since it would be extremely difficult if not impossible to raise all those little froglets. A bunch would end up dying or eating each other. Then you have the issue of keeping the water clean since they tox out easily.
And through all of that you have some frogs that are maybe worth 5-10 bucks. Im not in it for the money but thats an awful lot of work and I really dont want to get stuck with a couple hundred frogs each eating dozens of tiny crickets per day. So Ive never tried.
Right now Im busy with the lizards and my normal job. Maybe some day when I have more time Ill give frog breeding a go just for fun. Maybe just keep like 30 tadpoles and try to raise them. It would be neat but too much hassle for my lazy tush at the moment. Ive always shied away from anything that needs to breed in water. Im a land lubber.
I just keep the frogs cuz they are wicked cute and I like to hear them call. Plus watching a Dumpy hunt for food is about the funniest thing you'll ever see. Especially when they miss which they do quite often. Good strikers they are not, LOL!
FYI my gf has a son. He is going on 3. He LOVES the lizards. He has no fear of the monitors, the geckos or the skinks. Hes not afraid of the roaches or the mice. The frozen rats dont bother him in fact he likes to help feed. But for some reason he is scared of the frogs. Weird kid. 7' croc monitor? No problem. 3" Dumpy? He heads for the hills. *shrug*.
Hes funny. We were out one day and we passed a store that had some Godzilla movies and posters in the window. He pointed at the pictures and said "Croc mon-it-ter!!". That's my man right there.
