I’m not sure if anyone here uses protein powder or not, but below are some links to a great supplier. These guys are a direct supplier / manufacturer. Many times when you buy from GNC or other companies, you are using their product with another label on it. I have been using these guys for a while now and really like them. If you decide to order, use this code for a discount: LYP800

If you are looking for a whey protein for after your workouts, try this product: www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=22&pid=6884

For a protein that can be used anytime, try this: www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=31&pid=534

You will need a scoop if you don't have one: www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=22&pid=106

For creatine, try this: www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=25&pid=91

To save money, I use my old protein powder tubs and order my protein in food grade bags. Make sure to select the Premium Flavors when ordering. I have been ordering small amounts to try the different flavors. The Premium Dutch Chocolate Fudge and Chocolate Coconut is my favorite. They also have things like fish oil and other supplements.

Muscle Milk is more of a meal replacement. Usually used by someone trying to gain weight. It is good, but expensive.

I've always used Nutrition Express, they have a flat $5.95 shipping and their whey protein tastes better than anything I've tried before. I even bought Strawberry flavor to throw in my oatmeal, that's tasty.

Trust me, you'll love these guys. They may even make that protein. One of their claim to fame is that if you order 5lbs of protein you get 5lbs of protein and then they add the flavoring. Plus it's pure protein without all the garbage fillers. Another thing, that link is whey protein concentrate. Whey protein isolate is better, especially if you have any lactose issues.

Maybe I'll give these guys a try, I know the other isolates I've tried tasted like crap. You've almost sold me.

You can buy the muscle milk in powder form too and mix it. I found it on sale for 25 bucks for a 2.47lbs can. It says to burn fat don't store. A protien supplement with added vitamins and minerals. I may give this link you posted a shot.

True Protein has excellent products. Ive gotten my stuff from them for a while.

Also Dante, one of the owners of the company is the founder of the DC Training program. Worth a look if you enjoy hardcore training.

Well, im just starting to get back into the gm after about two years of being a fat lazy ass. My question to those in the know is this: I cant handle lactose, I had some good protein powder I was talking that worked well for me, but I cant recall what it was. Who knows where I can find a good quality and reasonably priced whey protein powder that wont tear my stomach up?

What you don't want is a Whey Protein Concentrate. Which many whey's in the store are.

This is what you want... Whey Protein Isolate Cold-Filtration (this is the whey I am buying now as the price really dropped)

I would try that first. If it messes with your stomach, try Whey Protein Isolate Ion-Exch

I don't use any additives myself. I've heard they can ruin the taste.

As far as sweetener, pick the premium flavors. They are presweetened and taste great. I love the chocolate coconut. They just added peanut butter which I want to try.

How much do you eat per day and what do you mix it with?

I try to eat as much real food as possible, but I generally get in two or three protein drinks a day. On non-training days it's usually two. On training days, three. Since whey protein isolate is digested real fast, I only use it post workout. I use the TeamSkip blend at all other times.

I mix it with RO water. Many times in the morning I'll mix chocolate TeamSkip thick and put it in my coffee. To do this, you have to let it sit for a minute before adding it to your coffee. Otherwise it will clump.
