Anyone know if a paradox has been breed back to an albino and what the results were? I have my suspicions of what the paradox are but it would take a breeding to help tie up the loose ends for me.

that thing is gorgeous !

asp,
would love to hear your theory regarding the paradox factor.
somewhere along the line i recall that they were only produced when hets were part of the equation. the old "partial expression" trick. i'd like to know if anyone has ever produced one from a homo x homo breeding.
c'mon folks...let's have at it !

There are several Albino Paradox animals around similar to that one. To my knowledge it has not been proven genetic yet. Very nice animal. Wish I had it.

I like it! I've always heard that they are not genetic but then you see people every once in a while selling albinos as sibling or related in some way to a paradox as a selling point and charging more for those animals...... Curious :D

Hey CK,

Glad to hear someone is interested in my ramblings LOL.

I believe that these paradox animals are chimera. There are 2 mechanisms I can think of by which this could occur and both necessitate at least one het as a breeder.

A breeding of a paradox to an albino would go a long way to support this hypothesis because, if the paradox is indeed a chimera, then it should behave like a sort of "modified" het.

i recall a while back jared horenstein (i think) was selling some het albino action that displayed "windows" of albino here and there.
i think that's just the cat's a$$ !
so you think i should get a het male to breed to our albino girl this year or what ? !
i'd love to have a beast like the one pictured.

Well I think breeding albinos worthwhile regardless LOL.

Getting a paradox is a dice roll and a slim one at that. To get a WT looking animal with the albino spots would most likely be accomplished (assuming I am correct in my theory) with a female albino x male het.

But you still have to roll the odds for the freak chimera event.
