Guyana Boas.... especially a female I had around 6 ft.... she would start long drawn out hissing as soon as you walked into the room. No bluffing at all when lunging at your face.... lol

http://jetpythons.com/hum.gif Depends on what you mean by nasty?

I have an Albino male (ball) that likes to pain with is poo. Literally every time he poops it's all over him and the cage. That is pretty nasty.

If you mean aggressive nasty -- the dwarf retics -- little vampires they were. Misunderstood little beasties. :SAMHAIN:

For animals Ive kept in the past its a toss up between a red tegu and a psycho female burm.

Right now I dont have anything thats actually mean but I have a croc monitor who will mess ya up pretty good if you approach him the wrong way.

The only nasty animal I have is a female ball.. She hates to be touched or looked at.. LOL I've been bitten by her to many times to count.. But she's a great feeder.. She comes shooting out of her tub!!

My most bitey snake was almost one of my smallest, a little diadem ratsnake. He hissed louder than snakes several times his size and would bite anything that came near him, and was a chewer. Really, really cool snakes, though.

Hmm...as far as aggression, probably a toss-up between:

- columbian tegu
- Amazon tree boa
- green-eyed gecko

Nasty as in disgusting poo?

- an adult savannah monitor that dumped on my bedroom floor after being constipated for 2 weeks
- box turtles

I have more than one. A het Albino boa female that lunges at the front of her tub when someone walks in , our Genetic Stripe boa male that launches at everybody , my Ferrari x CCs Pastel that flies out of her tub thinking everything moving is food , our unproven Yellow Stripe female boa that will eat you if have a camera.... etc etc.

Mine was a Leopard Gecko that would clamp down on your finger and hold on for a few minutes. I miss that guy, had him for 10 years.

I don't have any really "mean" snakes. A couple of my female boas hate my wife, though. Any time she opens their tubs, they hiss sooo loud. Never once have hissed at me. I don't know what it is about her that they just don't like.

I have a juvie JCP that is a little jumpy, and has tagged me on more than a few occasions, but she isn't down right aggressive. One of my ATB's is a little like that too, but a bit less so. It's calmed down quite a bit.

I've got a dwarf retic that is VERY cage defensive, but once out she's a sweetheart. Never put your fingers inside that tub to pull it out, though. All of the other retics are lunatics at feeding time, but that's to be expected. Some of the smaller ones actually launch themselves out of their cages if there is enough room for them to fit through in the glass. They are not the best at striking directly at their food, they seem to get WAY over excited when it's their turn. Any other time they are all sweeties.

My Green Tree Monitor is a little bastard alot of the time. He never bites, but he is in the habit of emptying his bowels anytime you pick him up. He likes to run around his enclosure and make it very difficult to get him out as well. Once he's out and calms down a bit, he's pretty good. It's just those first couple minutes where once you've got him, you have to hold him inside his enclosure unless you want urates and poo all over your shoes.

I had a white lipped python once that would do it's best to try and pluck your eyes out every time you opened it cage. I can't really say I miss that one.
