Does anyone know if the desert pied or desert het pied was posted on Kingsnake a while back? I could have sworn it was, but maybe I just dreamed it? I can't seem to find it using kingsnake's search feature, but I can't find the desert het clown post either, and I KNOW I didn't imagine that one.

The desert het clown is awesome -- you can find them on proexotics web site - Casey might have posted them on here as well. Not sure if there is a desert het pied yet or not. http://jetpythons.com/headscratch

Addition: here is the desert het clown: http://proexotics.com/pricelist_photos/desert_pics/e%20desert%20het%20clown%20baby%208-08%201.jpg

Yeah, I knew the desert het clown was on Pro-Exotic's site, and I also found the post on kingsnake by using Google's site search function. I came across a post on Constrictors Unlimited forum mentioning the desert pied, so I didn't imagine it! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the picture yet. I do remember it was insane looking. I also remember it was posted almost as an after thought in a thread about a different desert combo. Can't remember if it was produced by Pro-Exotics or someone else though. Maybe Robyn will wander through here this weekend and see this post?

Brain fart -- I just noticed I wrote Casey when I was thinking Robyn -- sorry Robyn :yessir:

Chris, are you looking for the pics or the actual conversations? I saved the pics of both the Desert Pied and the Desert het. Pied. No idea on the links though but I can give you a rough date it could've been posted. Look for the Desert Pied topic around mid June '08 and for the Desert het. Pied topic around mid August '08.

Hope that helps.

Mainly just the pics, but if you remember who it was that produced them that'd be great too. Seems like a lot of people missed those ones and everyone thinks I made them up.

I totally missed both of those snakes! That desert het clown is wild, it looks like the heterozygous clown gene has an effect when mixed with the desert. Very very cool. Now where are those pics of the desert pied?

The het pied gene had an effect on the desert also if I remember right. Just one of the reasons that I think the desert is such an awesome morph. :D

Just too awesome. I hope the pics see the light of day. I can't believe I haven't already heard about the desert pied.

And forgive me, I read my file wrong yesterday. I don't have a pic of a Desert het. Pied :(

Thanks for posting the pictures Danny! Those are some amazing snakes. I can't believe how bright that desert pied is. That morph has some real potential.

Yep. I haven't seen updated pics of the Desert Pied. I imagine it's holding its colors well.

No problem Chris. Now I'm wondering what the Desert gene does to a het. Pied. Not sure I've seen one of those, probably not.

I thought he had mentioned something about it in the same post with the pictures, but maybe in this instance I actually AM making it up? Either way, I can't wait to see some more crosses with the deserts, especially recessives.

Chris, I don't remember it but if you do Robyn (or someone else) could've mentioned it. It makes sense they hatched out some desert het. pieds as well.
I'm looking forward to this see what everyone that's working with them comes up with. Hopefully someone's done Desert x Desert too.
