Mojave Pied over on KS? What you think? Pretty cool IMO - At least is wasn't another white snake...

Yea it was pretty cool. Interesting too. I'm wondering what a phantom/pied will look like. My guess is it will be even lower white. That pied gene sure is strong..

I saw it on there and was also glad to see it wasn't another all white snakes. I'd like to see a couple more "versions" of this snake out there to really see how the mojave mixes with the pied. It's nice seing a new morph but when it's the one and only you get thinking is this the best example of this morph or will there be others that really blow you away. Either way it was still pretty sweet.

I've never really thought of it like that, Josh good point. Just because it's the first one to be produced doesn't mean it's the best expamle of that cross..Nice

Yea, I was surprised it didn't turnout like the lesser pied. I'm glad it didn't.

I'm not a huge fan of it, I appreciate the effort, but to me it shows what the pied gene does to most other genes which is just washes it out. IMO, there's only a few genes that actually compliment the pied gene, ones that come to mind are albino, lavender and ghost.

This combo is fairly interesting. I had always theorized that mojave and lesser were just different lines of the same gene. But the fact that the mojave pied doesn't produce an all white snake, raises some questions. It would seem to me that since the genes are on the same allele, it would produce the same or similar results. I'd like to see more breeding done with the pied and mojave / lesser genes. Very interested in seeing more results.

I love the pied gene period. truthfully not a big fan of the all white balls. But love seeing that mixture of white and pattern. every morph should get a pied version i love it.
