These are pics I took about 20 years ago, so they are not digital.... all the photos were scanned and loaded onto the pc. So I appologize if the quality sucks a little....

Adult jungle carpet.... 4 1/2 to 5ft.... they don't get bigger. Bobby Bredl will tell you the same thing, they max out around 5ft to 5 1/2.

Mitchel's Water Monitor.... huffy, tail whipper.... but never bit.

Adult Coastel

Desert Death Adder on a coffee table

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s189/Da-vault/Misc%20Pics/DesertDeathAdder.jpg

Adult female Diamond python I caught on our property at the time.... 9ft 6 inchs.... she had half her tail missing, a good 6 inches of it.

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s189/Da-vault/Misc%20Pics/Diamond-largefemale.jpg

My diamond set up when I was 14 - all of the diamonds were caught on the property.

Including this one I found over by the creek line....

Juvenile I collected from a different location

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s189/Da-vault/Misc%20Pics/DiamondPython-Juvenile.jpg

A gravid water python I collected from the Northern Territory.... when I was about 18

A common red death adder I collected from one of my favorite spots!

One of my 5 lace monitors, these were local to the area....

Those are amazing pictures. I would be willing to look at as many of those as you can post. I would also be very interested to hear more about what it was like living there.

Coming from a Carpet and Monitor guy, those pics are awesome!!!!!!!!

Those diamonds are really nice...... That large female looked as though she is either starving or just dropped a pile of eggs somewhere. The one from the creek line is awesome, nice rosettes and yellows...

Any more pics of the Lace's?

Thanks

Rob

That diamond had dropped a clutch, I would of loved to of seen how many.

I do have some lace pics, interesting enough.... I kept a 7ft lace in with the diamonds in that pic.... never an issue.

The Diamonds are the only python in their geographical region (New South Wales Central coast has the best looking ones - which is where I grew up), they are a cooler climate python. Not that it doesn't get hot, but the winters are cooler for them then what the other species of pythons deal with. Their distribution does of course over lap with carpets.... where you see an intergrade species from the two cross breeding..... naturally!

One day, there will not be any diamond pythons because of this natural intergrade.... but that's how mother nature intended it. Diamonds don't all look the same, color variation occurs depending on the area you find them.

LOL... BT needs to get a 30 yr old SLR camera then....

No prob, I have some lizard pics and monitors.... just sifting through disks and I'll post them when I find them.
