Did I hear Derek correctly on the show? Does ALL the perlite now have Miracle Grow in it? Thats cant be good...

I don't think he said all does just most of what you find at places like home depot.

no, not all of it does. But, the perilite you find at lowes and home depot often does. If it is in the miracle grow bag - STAY AWAY.

You can still find pure perilite though... some regions more easily then others.

Go to a local nursery...they usually carry it.

Seems like most of the nursery stuff has it now days -- but you can still get the commercial stuff without it.

i found it at my local feed store that has a few garden things. www.midwestperilite.com has it they have all types or perlite

try ebay, I got a heck of a deal on a big batch. You can also google it and tons of perlite sellers pop up.

Local nurserys to, especially if they do instalations, because they buy the stuff in bulk.
