In a brown/rust phase I've never seen before.

Imediately after trying to musk me. Trying being the operative word here :D

i really want to get myself an eastern. How do you like em? and do you feed primarily toads?

LOL, How do I like them? I moved a hundred miles just to be able to find them in the wild.

I don't have much experience with hogs. Have only caught a half dozen or so and never kept them more than the length of a summer. THey'll readily eat toads, frogs and some salamanders. I'm going to brumate this one simply because it's to late in the year to find toads now and I would need at least one good sized one to scent mice with to switch it over. And now isn't the time to be playin' games with snake food :D
