Got these two from Will Bird in '07 and they are a joy to work with. These two eat spectacularly and have some nice colors. They hatched out in 2006 and the female is massive at 2,234 grams, so I will definately try to breed them this year.

now i am confuesed lol, after seeing this then perhaps i was informed wrong. when i bought mine the guy sold them to me as a coastal carpet python and thats what i have always thought she/ he was. i have a male and female but the male is MIA at the moment under my tub being stubborn lol but anyways i know will produced them but the guy i got them from said that he thinks they're just regular coastals. now looking at your cross and noticing it looks just like my 2 same patterns and colors also with the brown tipping in the black perhaps mine is also a Dxc intergrade? any opinions? the female i have up on the forum with a few others if anyone would like to look at it and give me advice on if you think its a cross or not. i would like to know myself lol. also since i talk to will bired about every other day i think ill send him pics also and ask him as well lol. YOUR DXC ROCKS

xanaxez,

Your carpets could be coastals or intergrades, but you have to remember one thing, carpets are some of the most variable snakes out there. Pure animals can look like crosses and crosses can look like pure animals. There is never a 100% way to tell. All you can do is buy from reputable people with good traceable bloodlines. Make sure to talk to the seller you got them from and ask him about their lineages.

Cheers and Hope this helps!

Dave-

I am considering some normal coastal hypo jag sibs from Serpents Online.com. Would you mind telling me a little bit about your experience w/coastals, because I understand that they are the largest of the carpets.

Thanks!
