This is the question I have.Right now I have 4 normal females that are breed able size and know a guy with a spider ball. How would you go about the loan would I give him one spider or a spider from each clutch?

The man with the morph gets first pick out of each clutch..then the rest are split down the middle...at least in world that is how it all goes down.

There are no set rules in a breeding loan. You need to sit down and put on paper an arrangement you are both happy with. Including who pays what if an animals or animals die or becomes ill while in the care of the other person.

Like Jim said - generally, the man with the morph gets first pick from each clutch and if there's an odd number of spiders, he also gets the extra.

So if there are seven spiders for example, he gets four, you get three.

Generally an even split of the clutch highest value breeder animal gets first pick.

I've also done loans where I just want a female or male from the clutch ....

Whatever you are looking to do then work it out and put it in writing.

Good luck!

Very good addition, need to know what happens if something does go wrong.

GET IT IN WRITING!

Even if its a friend. It will make things easier in the long run for everyone.

I agree with the highest morph picks first thing.

Get it all laid out on the table before you do anything.... so both sides know what will happen when the eggs hatch!

Generally speaking, one side is doing most of the work.... feeding, breeding, incubating, taking care of hatchlings.... not always that way, but usually one side does most of the work and has the breeder morph. They are in the box seat imo!

I've only done 1 loan so far and we're doing it 50/50 no matter what hatches. (I loaned a het albino girl to be bred with a albino boy)

With the way spiders have come down in price why not just buy a proven breeder and keep ALL of the babies!?

That way you don't have to worry about losing anything and you can always trade/sell any offspring you don't want to keep and holdback the nicest out of ALL of the clutches.

Just my opinion...
