Alright I have a clutch of yellow ackie eggs...most likely the last for a while...and they have been cooking since July 17. So we're lookin' at appr. 105 days give or take. Average is 90-120 days. Its NICE to have them hatch right around 90 thats a good sign that everything went well. But Im at 105. Im pulling every hair out of my head.

No such thing as cutting monitor eggs. You cut a monitor egg you may as well just throw it in a blender. Its toast if you mess with it.

So I check them 3 times a day. Drivin' me nuts. Nuts I tell you.

They still look good though. Oooooh baby do I need to hatch some healthy monitors to restore my faith in this whole mosh pit we call a hobby.

Keep your fingers crossed for me all you ball python "50 days and then we cut them" people. ;)

This is gonna be me if even one hatches: :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thank you.

I think green trees are on everyone's list! Amazing animals. Little tricky to keep and even trickier to breed. VERY delicate eggs. But a few folks have had success with them. Jeff Lemm of the SDZ just recently hatched a small clutch of those guys after 5 MONTHS of incubation. Booyah!

Perhaps someday. Right now I got my hands full trying to hatch Kimberly Rock monitor eggs. They aint no day at the beach either!

Thanks a lot for the encouragement, folks. It means a lot. Im really pullin' for these little buggers. Like I said I had a very tough season. Its sad to have fully formed babies never make it out of the egg. Then I had one guy crawl out in bad shape and die a few days later. So Im really pulling for these guys.
