Well in a nutshell - Nelson had a 17 foot python skin he used as a show and tell piece -- painted the typical nightmare scenario - disseminated a bit of misinformation (they recently found in the glades a 16 ft female that had 56 eggs in her ready to hatch :lmao:) -- but his closing remark was that he wasn't looking to ban all the constrictor snakes just this particular one (burmese pythons). :dunno: :lmao:

I heard the same things Tosha, I also thought the "Fangs with barbs like fish hooks" was like he watched too many b-grade movies.

Sen.Nelson is in the wrong business.... he should be a movie director, he has all the skills to create some classics....

I disagree. I think as a director he'd be on the same level as Uwe Boll -- just terrible. :p

Nelson is a stupidly dangerous politician the way he runs to the Feds at the expense of the rights of his state. Pythons are hardly an equitable reason for usurping those rights. Florida has all the necessary tools for dealing with any python problem on its own.

He obviously is keeping the other species on his Bill as long as possible, for power of negotiation.
